Day One Program Logistics

• The "pre-lunch" Groundtruth Team (Team A) will collect data from Water Quality Index Site1.

• The "pre-lunch" Mission Control Team (Team B) will record data transmitted from the Groundtruth Team and complete the required research data analysis, and weather monitoring/recording.

• Mission Groundtruth 21 Teams A and B will reverse roles for the after lunch session; however, the Groundtruth Team will collect data from Water Quality Index Site 2 to minimize environmental impact.

• Both Mission Groundtruth Teams A and B will join together for the final session; e.g., Ecosystem Assessment Results, Ecosystem Functions and Values Forum, and Facilitator Conclusions.

Day One Program Schedule

The recommended program length is five hours each day for two consecutive days (includes the lunch break). Program length, arrival time and departure time may be adjusted to allow for the school's travel time, student busing needs, etc. This program may also be scheduled for two nonconsecutive days.

9am	Arrival (restroom use, hang up coats etc.)
9:15am	Mission Groundtruth 21 Introduction • Mission Statement • Groundtruth Team Readiness (equipment, supplies, workbooks, etc.) • Mission Control team Readiness (equipment, supplies, workbooks, etc.)
9:30am	Groundtruth Team Freshwater Quality Assessment: DO, pH, temperature, nitrates, turbidity, total phosphates, macroinvertebrates, historical information from Water Quality Index (WQI) Site 1
9:30am	Mission Control Team Freshwater Quality Assessment: Recording, researching, and analyzing field data from WQI Site 1 and weather monitoring/recording
10:45am	Cleanup
11am	Lunch
11:30am	Groundtruth Team Freshwater Quality Assessment: DO, pH, temperature, nitrates, turbidity, total phosphates, macroinvertebrates, historical information from Water Quality Index (WQI) Site 2
11:30 am	Mission Control Team Freshwater Quality Assessment: Recording, researching, and analyzing field data from WQI Site and weather monitoring/recording
12:45 pm	Cleanup
